Firstly i had to take photos of a variety of different beans and nuts, i was going to just use beans at first, but after buying a tin of mixed beans (with sweetcorn) i felt that there wasn't going to be enough variation between the types of beans, so i broadened my imagery to nuts as well. Once i had taken a photo of each nut, i used Photoshop to cut out the nut as accurately as i could. Then it was transferred to Illustrator where i began giving each bean its own character. Some have plasticine facial features whereas others just use Illustrator. I began designing by thinking up a variety of different professions and used these stereotypical ideas to be put onto my beans. These are one a few, there are plenty more! I am really pleased with how they have turned out and most people are finding it difficult to choose their favourite.
